As if you weren't expecting this... I'm endorsing the Democratic candidate, Barack Obama, and his VP pick, Joe Biden, for the 2008 presidential election.
The past 8 years have been a horrendous time in our nation's history. We cannot vote for the same old thing (and by old, I mean really old), that being GOP candidate John McCain. McCain tries to act like he will be different from Bush, but then he tells conservative voters that he'll be the same. Which is he? We don't have the time to elect him and find out. We need change, and we need it now.
Obama has been inspiring millions since day 1 of his campaign; he has inspired hope in all of us who believe that America has been led down a dangerous path by the Bush administration. With the addition of Biden, the Democratic ticket has become very well-balanced, Biden bringing tons of experience to the party. This is not to say, however, that Obama has deserted his promise for change: quite the contrary, having Biden in the White House will ensure that this change can happen.
I believe in hope, and I believe in Obama and Biden. I will vote for them this November, and I sincerely hope that everyone reading this blog will do the same.
You want to take your chances with Bush Jr?

Wow, way to steal the spotlight from Colin Powell with your immensely more important endorsement of Obama/Biden.
